Welcome To Dirty Edna.com

Cantankerous, un-guidable, un-presentable, a certified alcoholic
(5 gallons per pass), Edna continues to challenge Mike Schewe’s driving ability on every start-up.
Designed and built by Mike and Gary, "the old bag" decided to run a 6 at over 200 on her second quarter mile pass, displaying a "need for speed" and endearing her to fans and owners alike.Powered by a 526 C.I. Indy headed stage VIII KB producing some 2000hp, Edna likes to pickup her front wheels and do her own driving for the first 200’ or so, considerably raising the heart rate of her driver / passenger, Mike.Flashbacks Night Club and Interstate Batteries in Kelowna, are a big help in quenching Edna’s thirst for alky, 60 wt. Racing oil, valve springs and various other parts.

Edna is the fifth new car built by Mike and Gary and probably the 19th racecar owned between them.
The origin of the name "Dirty Edna" is lost in the mist of the 1960’s era Edmonton racetrack lore, but as the team’s mascot / parachute safety device is concerned, apparently it is representative of Mike and Gary’s off-season hobby.

A note of caution to race fans, Edna is a go car not a show car. You can touch her if you want, but be careful, you might get dirty.
